John Creech
John Creech is a musician who has written original music and studied his primary instrument, the guitar, for forty years. He has studied music theory, composition, and arranging in the western classical and jazz traditions, and has pursued a keen interest in the esoteric and mystical aspects of music.
He played and performed with numerous groups in the Baltimore-Washington area, most notably with the instrumental Jazz-Fusion group “Thin Air” for over ten years. Since moving to Vermont in 1993 he has performed with Katherine Quinn and “Fifth Season”, Gabe Tesoriero and “The Greys” and was a founding member of “Cloud People” an original rock group. He was a contributing composer and founding member of ”Red Thread”, an eclectic jazz quartet. His passion for the instrument led to his business, Burlington Guitar and Amp, which served the local music scene in Burlington for nearly a decade. He lives with his wife, painter Emily Bissell Laird, and his children Oliver and Annabelle in Charlotte, Vermont. |
